She gave him an expecting sort of look, her hands resting on her hips, and Sebastian did likewise except that instead of his hands on his sides they crossed over in front of him. Both of his eyebrows were raised at her as she spoke and he failed to copy her grin, instead sporting a very serious look. If anything, Sebastian probably looked like he was more annoyed than interested in hearing what she had to say to him. But she may have already started to catch on that he was a bit of an actor. Whether or not she could tell and act from who he really was at the time, which was the hard part to tell. For all she knew he could have been faking the earlier fun loving persona and really been just some bitter little man. He’d let her try and guess as that usually made it much more fun for him.
Perhaps she had not caught on that it was an act. This was a fleeting thought that had cast over Sebastian when the girl had turned away from him. He made no move to chase after her though already deciding that he could do likewise but in the opposite direction. Thankfully for her he had not. It wasn’t long before she had come back toward him and taken a hold of him once again. Just as he had before, Sebastian allowed her handling without any complaints and let herself pull toward him. The dark eyed familiar just settled with staring down the bridge of his nose at her, only smirking when she repeated the name of the vampire he worked for. And it was quite the devilish smirk.
“So you’ve heard of her,” he mused. Then a false pout fell over his lips. “Oh, and here I was hoping that having heard of her you would leave me be. I’m the delicate sort, you see, can’t handle too many bumps and bruises.” He was going to add bites into that but there was no point in tempting her further (no matter how entertaining desperation could be it was only funny until you found a pair of fangs in your throat). He let the fake pout fade away then as she continued, his arm now pulled securely behind her back. He couldn’t help but grin at the desperation that the situation should have been calling for. Or perhaps, for once, the vampire was more desperate than the human was.
Sebastian’s chin raised and he pretended to be in thought. Her question was not very hard to answer and had no reason to be asked. He could only guess that she wanted to hear it or have him hurry up and amuse her further with the prompting of her words. He didn’t exactly jump on it. Sebastian just continued to look lost in thought for several moments.
“My fun is hard to play out when I’ve got my arm in a jam,” he admitted halfheartedly. Really, there was only so much that he could do in this situation. Sebastian could pull away from her, stand where he was, or move closer to her. He could only imagine which of those three that she would rather have…
The human decided on the latter.
“If not my blood then what could it be that you seek, vampiress? Would you rather I let you kiss me? Or maybe you’d prefer the opposite way. Surely, though, you wouldn’t hold that sort of attraction to some human? I pale in comparison to your species, after all. I am only mortal.” |

This human named Sebastian... he was a slippery one. He had the wit of a wry fox. Nympha was beginning to be able to see through it, though. She came to realize when his indifference was fake or when his sincerity was not so sincere. It took a keen eye, but she was just as clever as he was.
Nympha eyed him as he pretended to pout, and though he was very convincing, she couldn't help but grin broadly at him. He was such an actor, and if he was trying to shake her off, well, he was doing a poor job. His multiple personalities only intrigued her more. "Be quiet," she cooed in disbelief. "You look like the strapping, strong sort. Why, I'm sure that's why Anastasia picked you..." Her face was riddled with concern, or what seemed like it. Every wrinkle and niche in her visage was etched with worry, but Nympha felt no such thing toward him. She had not known Sebastian long, but she could certainly tell he could hold his own. There was no need to fret over him.
Besides, working for someone like Anastasia, he had to be the toughest of the tough, even if not physically. Wit far outweighed brawn anyways. Fortunately, Nympha had both. Perhaps unfortunate for Sebastian, though. Though, it did seem that his street smarts were superior to hers. She wasn't much for common sense, as she had grown up sheltered and had lived her life very much in the lap of luxury, despite relaxing with cold, hungering creatures of the night.
When he spoke again, Nympha was a bit embarrassed, as he was completely truthful in his statement. In a flurry of chagrin, she unfolded his arm from around her back, though still continued to loosely hang onto his wrist, seemingly keeping him from escaping.
As he moved closer to her, she grinned in obvious delight. In a teeming, bright delight. It seemed to light up her whole face almost. When he spoke, her eyes immediately flitted up to meet his. His words were like music to her ears, harmonious and euphonious. However, she didn't answer him right away. The vampire only turned her eyes downcast, where they remained for a few moments. That was, until she stood on her toes and quickly placed a small kiss on Sebastian. Then she fell back on her heels, peering up at him in a challenging tone. "Mortal, vampire, it doesn't matter. I'd take a handsome mortal over an ugly vampire any day," Nympha commented rather harshly. But then went on to say, in a playful manner, "So, are you going to kiss me, then?" She grinned ever so slightly at him, but mostly tried to keep a straight face (which was always difficult for her). "Or are you going to tease me all night?" she questioned, giving him a lighthearted shove. It was then that she broke into a full-on smile, not caring to hide it any longer. The fact of the matter was that he had been teasing her all night, whether he knew it or not. And it put her in an absolutely giddy mood to be so close to him (which he could probably tell from her blithe demeanor). words: 541;; outfit: voila!;; notes: getchu some |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] I'VE SEEN THOSE HUSH HUSH LOOKS YOU GIVE The Words: 897 The Outfit: hallo The Notes blaaah Well Anastasia didn’t know that he was just as good as keeping a secret as any. Of course, Sebastian would much prefer himself as a strong, independent individual. Maybe physically he could be lacking every so often but if it was for a weak heart (quite literally) then he was more than certain that he would be in tiptop shape. Never had he been one to indulge in the sin of sloth no matter how many times a doctor would recommend it. He doubted it was physically possibly for him to stay in one place for more than a few hours. Aimlessly wandering was far better than staying in one place and thinking of his possibly short existence. Sebastian simply did not see the point in wasting away. Had he then he may have never ran into an opportunity such of this and may have never found himself discovering the world of the supernatural. It was truly worth the risk in the adventurous eyes of Sebastian Roth. He would not have had it any other way than this.
The smallest of grins appeared on his lips as his wrist and hand came back into his line of vision. Truly, he was glad that he could amuse this redheaded creature because in turn it managed to amuse him. Yes, he was a little off duty now that his eyes were not devoted to the swarms of male humans who wanted to throw their lives away to these bloodsuckers, but Anastasia wasn’t about to kill him for it. She knew Sebastian quite well and would probably be rather amused by his story instead of angry for him not brining anything exotic back for her. She hardly expected much from him since he could offer her tenfold by simply being a companion. Someone to talk to, mostly. Was it unbelievable that this chatty familiar could be considered a good listener? He hardly thought so.
When the female bobbed up on her tiptoes to plant a quick kiss on his lips, Sebastian decided to not douse whatever delight she may get from him being surprised. Because he was surprised considering how easily he could get her face to match her hair usually. So his eyebrows lifted and he offered her a smirk that slowly curved upward. He then looked slightly more amused because of her words that had followed the quick meeting of lips. “But mortals can’t stay attractive forever,” he pointed out to her, still grinning. Sebastian was pretty sure that he would leave this life with very few wrinkles or grey hairs though.
The familiar cocked his head at her as if considering both options she had given him very carefully.
“Well, I do find it quite amusing the way you get so fluster when I tease,” he admitted in all seriousness. Then he shrugged. “And despite the show I put on I cannot say whether or not a kiss from me will be worth your time. My words are usually far more intriguing than my ability, or lack of, to kiss.” Again he shrugged at her innocently. Truth be told, Sebastian hadn’t the slightest idea where he ranked on the kissing scale but he was sure it differed from person to person. Some liked it sloppy while others liked it simple and sweet. Whatever the case, even a supernatural creature liked to have their pulse (or maybe no pulse?) pounding with excitement. He supposed- he knew- he was no exception to that.
Tonight he decided it would be alright to please himself a little bit. Hey- no mortal lived forever, right?
He had to crane his neck forward slightly so that their eyes could be level. Then another devious smirk etched his lips as his dark eyes watched her silently. It was unfortunate, but he was sure whether he kissed her or not she would still be feeling like she was getting teased. Everyone always wanted a little more. What did they say? Give a mouse a cookie and it’d want a glass of milk? It was something to that nature.
In any case, Sebastian closed some space between them, his eyes falling half shut as they had decided to stare at the target (her innocent little smirk), and he stopped only when his nose was touching the side of hers. Then, instead of going right in to give her what she so desired from him, he let his eyes scale back up at hers and lifted a brow. “If you bite me, I’ll scream like a little girl. Spare me the embarrassment?” He was only teasing, of course (though he would be quite surprised if she tried it), and then quickly gave her what she wanted. And maybe what he had sort of wanted for himself as well. It was never a bad thing to kiss a pretty girl was it? Vampire or not…
He let his lips press up against her, showing no haste in the action. He was not going to quickly draw away like she had since he had already gained the proper knowledge to know she would not be pushing him away. Sebastian allowed his right hand to rest at the side of her face as if to keep her in place while his found the bend in her waist.
So how bad of an idea was it to kiss a mysterious vampire? |
