Graceann was born to a prostitute mother at midnight in June in London, England. Her mother loved the girl very much, but knew what the expenses of having a child were -- she did not want to spend her money on a child; she wanted to buy clothes and a grand house and a sports car, and live the life of a rich model... once she had enough money to quit her job, of course. She didn't want Graceann to trouble or distract her from her dreams. She was considering abortion but her sister convinced her otherwise, and a beautiful baby was born. The first name thought of for the young child was 'Ashley', which was her mother's favorite girl name. However, the name 'Grace' soon popped up into her mind. Despite that the child had not really been born from 100% love from the two partners, the name seemed to just ring perfectly with the baby. And so, the baby was named Graceann - "Ann" being added on to her name by her mother's sister. At first, her mother was very reluctant to give her up. She did, in fact, love the child. Even so, she knew that nobody would pay to sleep with a woman who had a baby. She offered the baby to her relatives, hoping that she would be able to visit her that way. However, they just shunned the girl. Her sister did not want the child, either. Sadly, Grace's mother had to chose to put the baby up for adoption to people other than family. And that was exactly what she did. The child was adopted by Miss Alison Jane Devereaux, age twenty-four, when Grace was four years old. She added Graceann's middle name, Adelie, because she loved the name Graceann and didn't want to change it, and loved the name 'Adelie' as well. She was the perfect mother to Graceann - always caring and looking out for her, and buying her toys and clothes. She had a job that paid pretty well, well enough to afford some luxury for the two. Grace did not find out that she was adopted until she was exactly nine years old. The thought saddened her and made her wonder about her mother, but Alison promised that she loved Graceann as if she had birthed her. Grace, at first, was very bothered about finding out about her adoption just now. When Alison laughed and told her that she couldn't understand when she was younger, Grace finally understood and accepted that she was adopted. Soon after, when Grace was thirteen, Miss Alison adopted another child, who was eight years old - her name was Delores, but Grace called her Lori. In the beginning, Grace was very brutal to Lori. She stole her clothes, toys, and pulled her hair - she was just overly jealous. When Alison started to take notice, Graceann stepped up her act and tried to be nice to Delores. It worked perfectly well and the two instantly became friends, and it went from catfights and hairpulling to playing 'dollie' and 'tea-party'. Grace became extremely protective of Dolores and soon began treating her like her very own daughter, because Miss Alison started working extra-late and fulltime at her job. People were starting to lose their jobs, Grace noticed - age eighteen. She had to find a job to help out the family, she knew. Grace began looking all over the place for a job with a good pay to pay off bills and help the family. She knew that her mother would not be able to afford both Grace and Delores with the little pay she had, and she knew that her mother would probably lose her job sometime soon. Grace needed to help. Grace then found a job that seemed... somewhat alright. Grace found the job cruel and scary at first, but soon realized... that she needed to earn money for her mum and little sister. And so, she became a donor. No matter how scary it seemed to her, it happened. |
